Mother's Supercool Wearable Device - It Tell You When Your Baby Is About To Wake And In What Mood

Imagine a device that notifies you when the baby's heart rate or temperature is too high or low, when the baby is likely to emerge from a nap or night of slumber, and if the child is sleeping on his back or has rolled over onto his or her belly. Parents will also be informed if the nursery is too cold or hot, or if the room is too loud or bright. That is what this wearable device does. Please Check this, its super cool.

Being a new parent can be an exciting yet really scary phenomenon – which is why most first time moms and dads are more than willing to seek all the help they can get. One of the fears of the parents is their ability to be there for their baby when the baby needs them and still carry out their daily routine. That must stop with this new wearable device.

With parents concerns in mind, some Apple and Google alums have teamed behind a San Francisco startup called Sproutling, whose first product is a smart wearable baby monitor.

The Sproutling Baby Monitor is designed such that in all it's monitor, it captures 16 different measurements per second which it puts into action to alert parents to predict when your little one will wake up and determine whether the child will be fussy, angry or in a good mood upon doing so.

Sproutling consists of three parts, starting with a hypoallergenic chemical-free silicone band with a sensor that wraps around the child's ankle. The sensor measures your little one's heart rate, skin temperature, sleeping position and movement, and can tell if the band has somehow slipped off junior's ankle. The band is washable (after removing the sensor) and weighs about the same as an empty soda can.

The second piece is a small bowl-shaped charger that parents merely drop the band into to charge it wirelessly. It takes about two hours to fully charge the band, and the band is supposed to remain charged for about three days. Meanwhile, the charging bowl doubles as its own environmental sensor capable of detecting the room temperature, humidity, light level and noise.

Third, is the iOS app that takes in all this data via Bluetooth Low Energy. An Android version of the app is expected out sometime after the product's March 2015 launch.

What Sproutling is not however, is a video or audio baby monitor. Nor will parents be hit with a gaggle statistics inside the app that the company's founders think will freak them out. The goal here is to reduce parental anxiety, as this amusing promotional video for Sproutling reveals. Sproutling is aimed at newborns to two year olds, or at least the age when the kid can take the band off themselves.

You can preorder Sproutling at sproutling.com under early bird pricing for $249, after which the price climbs to $299.
