Stress is the fabric woven in our system by jam-packed modern busy society we find our selves. Life as become an unending rat race till we give it up.What can we do? We can not change life, but we can manage the stress it pills on our system. Here are 5 beginning tips in stress management.



  • Reach for the right foods

People tend to reach for sweets and comfort foods when stress levels are at their highest. Instead, choose foods such as blueberries, leafy greens, sweet potatoes and fresh fruits, all of which contain vitamins and nutrients that can help reduce stress



  •  Control your rants

If you are the type of person who simply must rant and rave when you are stressed, don’t dwell on it. Take 10 minutes every day to get it out of your system. When your time is up, move on! This may sound unorthodox, but it can help you focus, let go and move past stressful situations.  Why not rant to the wall or scream in an empty location to easy the tension. You could also just write out your grievance. It works like a pill.


  • Know when to click the “off” button

Overuse of technology can be a big source of stress. If you check messages at stoplights, you might have a problem. If you fire off emails to co-workers at 2 a.m., you may be putting too much pressure on yourself. Ask yourself, “Can it wait?” Usually the answer is “Yes.”



 
  • Don't just sit there thinking its relaxing

Work can be stressful, and if you work at a desk, sitting still can make things worse. Regular exercise helps control stress, so make it part of your work day. Take a speedy 10-minute walk two or three times a day, and if your office has a gym, take advantage of it.



  •  Take anger management seriously

Research has shown that men who are quick to anger are five times more likely than others to have an early heart attack. If this applies to you, seek help through an anger-management program. Breathing and relaxation techniques, for example, won’t just reduce your stress now; they may also help save your life later.
